Dalby, Wendland Co., P.C. awarded John Moss the Spirit of Western Colorado Award® in Grand Junction on November 5, 2010. John Moss, and his wife, Angie, accepted the award at the firm's annual meeting at the Doubletree Hotel.

Each year,  at the firm's annual meeting, Dalby, Wendland & Co., a full service accounting firm, recognizes one client who not only excels in business and community with a spirit of integrity, a keen eye for business, and a commitment and compassion for their respective communities, but who also continues to reflect the pioneer Spirit of the West. The firm created the award in 2004. John Moss has been a client of Dalby, Wendland & Co. since 1997.

In 1971, with a Volkswagen Bug loaded with everything he owned, Moss moved from California to Grand Junction and opened the North Avenue Taco Bell franchise the following year. One of his memorable first-year business endeavors was driving back to California every week to purchase fresh tortillas for the restaurant.
